Christ Ahnsahnghong

The World Mission Society Church of God was founded by Christ Ahnsahnghong. And millions of its members around the world believe that He is Second Coming Christ because He fulfilled all of the biblical prophecies concerning Jesus’ second coming.

so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.

As Christians, it is imperative to have a clear understanding of the prophecies in the Bible about Christ’s second coming so that we can receive God’s promised salvation. In the book of Hebrews, Apostle Paul testified to the Early Church that Christ would come a second time to bring salvation. He taught this because it was Jesus’ own testimony that He would return a second time.

“Remember what I told you: I am going away, but I will come back to you again. If you really loved me, you would be happy that I am going to the Father, who is greater than I am. . . . I have told you these things before they happen so that when they do happen, you will believe.”
John 14:28 (NLT)

Through the prophecies of the Bible, which were written thousands of years ago, God wants us to be convinced of His truth. From the beginning of time, God told us what would happen in our age, especially about His second coming. Even though the teachings of the Early Church were lost for nearly 2,000 years, Jesus promised that He would come back to remind us of His precious laws.

“But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.”
John 14:26

At His return, Christ would teach us all things concerning Himself and remind us of all the teachings of God that lead us to the kingdom of heaven. This is the reason the Church of God believes in Christ Ahnsahnghong as Second Coming Jesus. He has taught all the truth of the Early Church. Most notably, Christ Ahnsahnghong brought us the tree of life by restoring the New Covenant Passover, which is Christ’s own flesh and blood, through which He promised to give His people eternal life.

The Tree of Life

God left us many parables in the Bible to let us understand the origin of our spirit and the purpose of life. Through the story of Adam and Eve, for example, God lets us know that we were in the kingdom of heaven before coming to this earth. And because we sinned against God, we now have to face death on this earth.

…so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned.

However, in the same story of the Garden of Eden, God also identifies the way we can have eternal life.

Then the LORD God said, “Look, the human beings have become like us, knowing both good and evil. What if they reach out, take fruit from the tree of life, and eat it? Then they will live forever!”
Genesis 3:22 (NLT)

After we sinned against God by eating from the tree of knowledge of good and evil (Gen 2, 3), God blocked the way for us to eat from the tree of life, through which we can have eternal life.

So the LORD God banished them from the Garden of Eden . . . After sending them out, the LORD God stationed mighty cherubim to the east of the Garden of Eden. And he placed a flaming sword that flashed back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life.

God blocked the way for human beings to eat from the tree of life. Therefore, it is only God who can unblock the way to the tree of life and grant us access to eat from it so that we may have eternal life once again.

Jesus Is the Tree of Life

In the Garden of Eden, the way to gain eternal life was by eating from the tree of life. And when Jesus Christ came to the earth 2,000 years ago, He showed us the way to have eternal life.

So Jesus said again, “I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you cannot have eternal life within you. But anyone who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise that person at the last day.”
John 6:53 (NLT)

Jesus Christ taught the way to have eternal life is by eating His flesh and drinking His blood. But in the Garden of Eden, to have eternal life, we had to eat from the tree of life. This means that Jesus’ flesh and blood are the reality to the tree of life. Jesus is the tree of life. Because God blocked the way to the tree of life from human beings, He Himself came to the earth to bring us the tree of life—His body and blood. And He established a way for His people to eat from the tree of life.

While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.” Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.”
Matthew 26:26

Jesus Christ promised us His flesh and blood through the Passover bread and wine.

So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them and prepared the Passover.
Matthew 26:19

Jesus Christ came to this earth and died a painful death on the cross in order to grant us the forgiveness of sins—sins that we committed in the Garden of Eden. But unless we partake in the Passover, we cannot receive Christ’s body and blood—we cannot eat from the tree of life.

The fact that Jesus allows us to eat from the tree of life lets us understand that He is God who came in the human form to unblock the way to the tree of life for us.

I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

Jesus came to the earth to give human beings life to the full—eternal life so that we may enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, Jesus is God Himself.

Although God opened the way to the tree of life through the New Covenant Passover 2,000 years ago, God’s teachings began to be modified after the Apostolic Age. Eventually the Passover was abolished and the way to the tree of life was once again blocked. But God promised to return to the earth and restore the way of salvation (Heb 9:28).

Christ Ahnsahnghong Restored the Tree of Life

As Jesus Christ prophesied through the lesson of the fig tree (Mt 24:32), He returned to this earth in this age and restored the New Covenant Passover in 1948. And just as prophesied, He came with a new name (Rev 2:17, Rev 3:12)—Christ Ahnsahnghong.

As seen in the Scriptures, only God has the power and authority to open the way for human beings to access the tree of life. Two thousand years ago, He came with the name of Jesus and took our same likeness in order to give us the way to receive eternal life and be freed from death. And in this age, too, He came a second time with the name Christ Ahnsahnghong and opened the way to eat from the tree of life—the New Covenant Passover.
