About Us

“But you have come to Mount Zion, the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem … to the church of the firstborn, whose names are written in heaven.”

The World Mission Society Church of God is a Christian non-denominational church founded in 1964 in South Korea. Christ Ahnsahnghong founded the Church of God to restore the teachings of the Early Church, which had been lost throughout history. Since its establishment, the Church of God has grown to have more than 2.7 million registered members in 7,000 locations in 175 countries. In Florida, the Church of God is located in Tampa, Orlando, and Lake Worth.

As the Church of God follows the teachings of Christ with which He founded the Early Church, it believes and teaches about the existence of God the Father and God the Mother. It also observes the seven feasts of God, including the New Covenant Passover, the Feast of Weeks and the Feast of Tabernacles. The Church of God also commemorates the Sabbath day on Saturday, just as Jesus and the disciples did.

Members of the Church of God in Florida fervently study the Bible and host numerous seminars to invite the community to also learn about God’s teachings. As they want to resemble Christ, members also participate in numerous volunteer activities throughout the year and selflessly devote themselves to serving their neighbors.

Hundreds of government officials, organizations, and leaders of nations have recognized the Church of God for its continual devotion to serving communities. In 2016, Queen Elizabeth II presented the Church of God with the Queen’s Voluntary Service Award, the top award in the United Kingdom given to organizations. Through this award, the Church of God also gained the title of MBE—Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire—a title that is recognized by 52 members of the Commonwealth of Nations, including Canada, Australia, India, and Singapore.
